On Friday I went to The Cathedral of Christ the Light for a class site analysis project. I’ve always passed by this place since my friend lives in the neighbourhood, but I only found out recently that it was a church.
I found the interior to be more interesting than the exterior. My favourite part of the entire building was the mausoleum… it was pretty calming and beautiful there.
Slightly off-topic, but my grandmother has a mausoleum built in her honour in my parents’ home country. Someday I want to make a trip out there to pay my respects.
Anyway, some select photos from the day. I didn’t take too many since I was doing some sketches and studying the materiality/structure.
This trip reminded me that I eventually need to just get a more compact camera…
